ACTIVISM IN ARCHITECTURE ON THE RISE!

The Autumn issue of RIAS Quarterly is now published! With the theme around activism in architecture, I was asked to contribute on my active involvement in the New Glasgow Society. The article summarises the establishment of New Glasgow Society in 1960s as an action against rapid demolition in Glasgow for the motorway development. The second part of the article revolves about my personal experience and vision for the Society in Glasgow's built environment.

CIRCULAR ECONOMY IS HERE!

It is inevitable that the construction industry needs to redefine how we produce, construct, use, and recycle buildings. The resources from mother Earth is not infinite; we need to design and develop to fulfil our needs of the present without compromising the ability to future generations to meet their owns. My curiosity on this topic has led to myself completed the online course conducted by edX online and Delft University of Technology. This is just the beginning; there are more to come!

Hit me up if you wish to discuss further.

MADE IT TO THE 194TH RSA ANNUAL EXHIBITION!

Delighted to have my architecture thesis models selected for this year's Royal Scottish Academy annual exhibition of art and architecture. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 outbreak, the exhibition has moved completely online. However it also means that everyone can view the online exhibition regardless of where they are. Proud to have exhibited alongside many well-established architects from Scotland and beyond!

IMAGINE GLASGOW IS BACK!

The New Glasgow Society annual exhibition, which debuted back in 2016, aims to give space for students and graduates to present their works to a wider audience of the general public to promote discourse on design, architecture, the urban environment and Glasgow itself. After two years of hiatus, the curated exhibition is back with a stronger organising team (Paul Hawkes and Grace Mark), and this year we also have student from the Built Environment of City of Glasgow College (CGC) exhibiting in NGS' new East Gallery!

PAC-POD ON ITS WAY TO LONDON!

The bursary, supported by Architects Journal and Hoare Lea, is intended to support a design or idea by a Part 2 or Part 3 student, which will then be developed alongside an engineer from Hoare Lea over a four-month period, and will be published in the AJ.

My proposal is a floating capsule prototype that cleanse River Clyde, at the same time, provide a unique hospitality experience that travel from the city of Glasgow to the west of Scotland. Imagine waking up next to the beautiful landscape of Clyde!
